2018 Fair Play Malbec
DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL
2022 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Grown on a windswept hillside at 2600 ft elevation in the Fair Play AVA, a diminutive gem of a wine-growing region in the El Dorado County foothills of the Sierras, this Malbec shows both the rugged clarity and focus of high-elevation grape-growing and the grapey, vibrant nature of Malbec. Truly a special and memorable pairing of grape and terroir, our 2018 Malbec has vibrant aromas of black Cherry, boysenberry, mineral, blueberry cobbler, Santa Rosa plum and orange-rind, with nuances of cinnamon and toasty oak. It is firm, rich and muscular in the mouth, with a creamy mid-palate and flavors of blue fruit, elderberry and vanilla.
