2019 Reserve Chardonnay
The broad flood plain of the Sacramento River around Clarksburg has been farmed for over 100 years and is home to some of the best grape-growing conditions in the world. In fact, most of the grapes grown in the appellation find homes in top shelf wineries in other regions throughout California. With the release of our 2019 Reserve Chardonnay, we are doing our part to keep Clarksburg grapes on home turf. Fermented in French oak barrels (60% new oak) and aged on the lees for 16 months, this wine showcases the unbridled fruit and layered complexity our region produces. It is aromatically focused and pure, with clean aromas of baked apple, orange blossom, lemon-drop, guava and toasty vanilla. The mouth-feel is smooth and rich with flavors of citrus and Crenshaw melon, fine acid balance and a structured oak-laced finish. This wine has the potential to age for 6 – 8 years.
