2021 Reserve Chardonnay

Our barrel-fermented 2021 Chardonnay has clean and focused aromas of lemon drop, green apple, toasty vanilla, mineral, and lime, with intriguing nuances of white flowers and mango. The mouthfeel is crisp and fresh with fine acidity, good mid-palate weight, and wonderful balance. Both rich and structured, this wine is a worthy companion to bold, flavorful seafood dishes.

The broad flood plain of the Sacramento River around Clarksburg has been farmed for over 100 years and is home to some of the best grape-growing conditions in the world. In fact, most of the grapes grown in the appellation find homes in top shelf wineries in other regions throughout California. With the release of our 2021 Reserve Chardonnay, we are doing our part to keep Clarksburg grapes on home turf. Fermented in French oak barrels (60% new oak) and aged on the lees for 16 months, this wine showcases the unbridled fruit and layered complexity our region produces.  This wine has the potential to age for 6 – 8 years.
